Worlds Visited

A solar system comprised of 10 planets orbiting a Class 11 star. At first glance this particular planetary system holds no surprises, the orbits of every planet being well within the expected norm. Some of the planets, like ARALON BETA, are nothing more than a glorified rock floating in space, their surfaced scared by the meteor impacts that had occurred over the millennia. Appearing somewhat like EARTH’s own moon although much larger, ARALON BETA is nothing special.

ARALON GAMMA on the other hand is a world that holds many interesting aspects. Home of the ROUL, the third planet of the system displays a wide variety of features and climates, all of which appear at first glance to be similar to those found on EARTH. After a more in depths analysis though, you come to realise that this is not entirely the case. In addition to the higher gravitational pull of the planet, at 1.6 Gs, the main landmasses are under constant bombardment from hurricane force winds. This combined with a temperature range that extends well beyond those encountered on EARTH makes ARALON GAMMA a much harsher world that it had first appeared.

The standard temperature at the pole never goes above minus 40 degrees Celsius even when graced by the warmth of their sun. On the other hand, the desert regions of ARALON GAMMA reach temperatures of 55 to 60 degrees Celcius.

ARALON EPSILON, the fifth planet of the system is an uninhabitable world due to its lack of any atmosphere, but this world proves to be a geological gem. The list of minerals present on ARALON EPSILON seem to go on forever and includ such desired elements as Platnium, Dilithum and even Trilithium. It is believed that this planet was the cause of the ROUL / SERLI conflict that raged for millenia.

ARALON SIGMA, home world of the SERLI is at the outer edge ofthe system, because of this and the constant sulfuric storms that blanket the planet, little is known about this world. What is known is that the inhabitant of this world breathe Sulphur and expelled Fluorine and Chlorine as most Humanoid breathed Oxygen and expelled Carbon Dioxide. Possessing a gravity nearly half of that found on EARTH, the SERLI have evolved to appear as strange soft glowing insect-like creatures with butterfly wings.

No away teams have ever been sent to any of the planets.

ARKALIA IV
M-Class (last visited on SD: 2.30725)

Post-Warp Technology world ruled by a planetary Senate. Technological level below that of the Federation in many respects namely in their spaceships which are armed with Nuclear projectiles and laser based beam weapons. Currently unaligned although the process to see it joining the Federation is still ungoing. Known Military strengths: 1 Battle ship, the ARKALIA PRIME. 20 small cruiser-class ships and 150 to 200 fighters. These are all limited to space, the Arkalians possessing an extensive planetary military force under the control of a single command structure.

Cultural Notes: A young world which has seen itself become united very quickly, the Arkalians are actually quite naive in their perception of the universe. In communication, they value face-to-face contact, or at least visual communication over any other form, wanting to see the faces of those they are speaking to.

Additional Notes: During the last visit, the planet was in chaos, civil war having broken out due to disagreements in the planet’s possible joining in the Federation. It was later discovered that this was caused by the influence of the Romulan’s Tal’Shiar who had undercover agents present on the planet in various positions of influence. Following the removal of this influence, a Federation delegation headed by Commodor Siobhan Reardon-Marxx was established on the planet to help rebuild.

BABEL

BABEL is a diplomatic world where diplomats from all across the Federation and beyond come to meet and discus the promenent metters concerning them. Given the number and importance of the visiting dignataries, it is easy to imagine that there is a thriving Intel underground on this world led by the Orion Syndicate. Maevin, a Bowienian male capable of charming any female by simply looking at her and smilling, leads the Orion Syndicate cell on BABEL with a low level shapeshifter named Trebane as his Lt.

The Mordsythe, a terrorist group for hire also has one of their main headquarters on this world. The heavily fortified mansion is under the control of a egotistical woman named Shota who has all around her refer to her as ‘Mistress’, be them friend or foe. The Mordsythe were discovered to have been behind the sabotage attempt of the USS AVALON (mission #8) which failed and caused the death of 2 of their agents.

FANTASIA PRIME

A recreational world mostly made of holodecks and holosuits, PHANTASIA’s sole purpose in the universe is to accomodate the wishes of its clients. The entire planet’s revenue comes from the use of their holotechnology by other races, all of which are more then welcome to enjoy what this unique world has to offer.

GIBOR
M-Class (never visited)

Roughly the size of EARTH although possessing rings, the world appears through long-range visual scans as a planet having a very rocky terrain covered with lush and diverse flora. Because of the extremely high density of the mineral deposits on that planet, any and all sensor beam directed at the planet itself are reflected as if they had impacted against some sort of mirror. This has greatly reduced the amount of available data on that world and its inhabitants, but based on the visual analysis made, GIBOR appeared relatively welcoming.

MAFTEACH
M-Class (last visited on SD: 2.40215)

On visual scans, the planet appears as an olive coloured world roughly the size of MARS. The planet comes in at a 3,412 kilometres radius and displayes a wide variety of climates, the most prominent one being that of a tick forest that dominated nearly 72 percent of the planet's surface. As interesting as the planet itself is, the dampening field that surrounds the planet and blocks all sensors and transporter beams is what makes this planet unique. Any and all power source that comes in contact with this dampening field will be drained within seconds, making even a shuttle landing impossible. Although a break in this force field was found allowing the away team that had crashed on that world to return safety to their ship, the dampening field is back to full strength, once again protecting the many secrets of that world.

MEGILA
H-Class (last visited on SD: 3.1231)

At 2,740 kilometres in diameter, the planet comes in at 140 kilometres short of perfectly matching MERCURY, the closest planet to SOL the home star of EARTH. Although nearly identical in size, MEGILA looked quite different with its sandy coloured swirls, hinting to the planet's unique weather pattern.

Because of its size and distance from its sun, MEGILA's climate evolved to be an extremely arid one with annual average rainfalls of 10 millimetres. Because of this water would have been a rare and valuable commodity making survival on that world that much more difficult. If Peter Winters had crashed on that world he would have had no choice but to seek the assistance of the local inhabitants the moment his supplies ran out. The high winds and mineral content of the sand being pushed tossed around at extremely high velocities made the planet a less than inviting prospect, except where Maya was concerned. To her the planet was nothing short of a paradise that begged to be visited.

The inhabitants of this world were found to be insectoid in origin, possessing 4 arms and a ‘sucker-like’ mouth.

OLTHAR PRIME
M-Class (last visited on SD: 2.30304)

Post-Warp Technology world ruled by a Council of Elders. Technological level equal to that of the Federation although all technology is based on not interfering or harming nature. Currently under the status of Federation Protectorate. Known Military Strengths: The only military presence is that of the elite members of the Religious Circle who call themselves the Klaj~Ra Shall.

Cultural Notes: The population of the planet is divided into 2 circles; the Religious Circle and the Scientific Circle. The Council of Elders is comprised of 5 individual, the leader currently being Bardef Emzaw, the uncle of Lt Cmdr Elan Fairborn.

Additional Notes: Exceptionally peaceful, the OLTHARIANs have dedicated a great part of their resources to the betterment of their lives and world. Currently, the Scientific Circle is still working on a Quantum Drive System which is hoped will one day replace Warp Drive.

OTOL A
A-Class (never visited)

Unnamed planet of the OTOL System, this planet suffers from constant volcanic eruptions with lava flows that cover almost 40 percent of the planet surface. Long-range sensor scans of the planet have revealed presence of several minerals and raw materials that could be useful, the problem is that the surface conditions on the planet make it impossible to mine or even extract from orbit. Although unconfirmed, initial scans have hinted to the possibility of crystals in the mentle of the planet being the cause of the interferrence that had been experienced by the surveying ship.

OTOL B
O-Class (last visited on SD: 60298)

Unnamed planet of the OTOL System, this planet entirely covered by an emerald colour ocean, OTOL B is actually a very unhospitable world due to the severe electromagnetic storms that cover more than 80 percent of the planet at all times. Although a rescue expedition sent to that world to retreived a crashed shuttle reported the presence of large aquatic fauna, orbital sensor scans have been unable to penetrate the storms for more than a minute at a time, and so far not higher classification life form has been reported.

SENMAAR II
K-Class (never visited)

Planet deprived of any sort of atmosphere, SENMAAR II was were the comet which contained the archive crystals of a long gone civilization crashed but not before all of the crystals were retreived by the crew of the USS HATHOR on SD: 60333.1. All of the crystals were transferred to NEW ALEXANDRIA for continuing research.

SURIAL III

Deep inside Cardassian space, SURIAL III was the location of a detention camp in which the crew of the USS MERCURY were emprisoned and tortured. The planet was protected by an extensive network of orbital weapons platform which was rendered inoperative by the crew of the USS ANUBIS through the use of a new age electronic virus.

TANGIERS ORBITAL

The TANGIERS ORBITAL is not a planet but rather an elaborate space station orbiting the neutral planet VEGA SIGMA. Unlike other space stations, the TANGIER ORBITAL is designed for a single purpose, to be to most flamboyant of casino with a security system that knows no equal. No ship can dock at the casino, all patrons having to take a special shuttle from the planet in order to gain access to the TANGIERS ORBITAL. Thanks to a complex sensor dampening field and transporter interferrance system, no ship can scan or transport into the station, thus protecting the privacy of everyone onboard.

The staff of the TANGIERS ORBITAL are dedicated to pleasing those who come to gamble, ready and willing to cater to every wishes and desire making the TANGIERS ORBITAL a truly remarkable place to visit.

Because of its neutral status, and its more than inviting hospitality, it is very common to find members of almost ever race from all *four* quadrants present.

TOLAR IV
P-Class (last visited on SD: 60297)

Frozen and desolate world on which the Mind-Stone and the Mind-Source were discovered in a set of ancient ruins buried beneath the snow and ice. The artefacts were retreived following an extensive and conplicated conflict that included the Romulans, Cardassians, Orions, Hirogens, Breen and Ferengi.
