Amber is a mystery wrapped inside an enigma covered in a veil of secrecy. Very attractive and obviously very knowledgeable about a great many things, she keeps any and all details about herself from the public using whatever means at her disposal. Some have theorized that she is an SFI Operative thus explaining her skilful methods at avoiding answering questions about her past or even herself.
It has recently come to light that Amber, before being in a relationship with Elan Fairborn, was in a relationship with his uncle Bardef many decades before. Both Amber and Bardef had separately decided not to reveal this fact to Elan for obvious reasons. Bardef knows that Amber is *special* and his content to believe her to be some sort of angel looking after certain members of his family. The news of this relationship surfaced after Amber was in a coma for several years, straining the relationship between Elan and Bardef.

Amber Satori is only one of a hundred names she has used over the centuries, her race behind ageless travellers who are not at all interested in the politics of other races. Although they do not grow old in the humanoid sense, the members of this race are mortal and can be injured like anyone else.
In order to ward of the loneliness of their existence, the members of this race have developed a way to attract mates through changing certain aspects of their appearances. Although this borders on shapeshifting, the skill is very limited and only used to attract a mate.
There is no account of how many of these beings are out there in the universe or even where they could be found as the members of this species have scattered over the millennia. Oddly enough, Amber seems uninterested in searching for any other member of her race; instead being content to enjoy life one day at a time and watching the lives of others unfold around her.

Amber was initially meant to be a writing tool for the first RPG I participated in, allowing for the CO to introduce information that would have otherwise not been available to the crew. Her past was left as “blank” as possible to facilitate this function and although she is available for all to write for is it highly recommended that making any references about her past be done cautiously.
