076-USS ANUBIS: Mitshiba: Day 3 - 1850 ("Full Circle")

Setting: USS ANUBIS, Corridor
Stardate: 63072.1850
The shape and colors of the corridors, the whispered hum of the engines through the power conduits, even the aroma that hung in the air, it all felt so familiar, so right. It had been as if the aCSciO had finally come home after a long journey, so why had she felt so apprehensive about seeing the one person whom she had thought about so much?
They had not left on the best of terms, that much Aki had been certain of. The question though had been; did Elliot hold any ill feelings against her for leaving the way she had?
The moment she had realized that it had been the ANUBIS that had come to the LANCELOT's rescue, Aki had wanted to run up to him, to hug him and never let go. Before the aCSciO had been able to act on her thoughts though, questions and concerns crept into her mind. What if he had settled with that other woman? What right did she have to barge in like this and hope that everything would be back as it had been?
Aki stopped and leaned against the nearest wall, the pain brought on by the memory of having seen him with another woman had hit with the force of a quantum torpedo. She had been so concerned about his feelings that the aCSciO had for a brief moment forgotten her own emotions. He had been the reason why she had left the ANUBIS, why she had faced the Admiral and returned to EARTH with shattered hopes and dreams. She had run away from the pain, so why had it felt so good to be back where it had all started?
"Are you alright?" Adriana asked as she hastened her steps to close the gap between her and the troubled Aki.
"I'll be fine," Mitshiba replied. "I just need a little bit of time to get my thoughts and feelings back under control."
"I thought you would have been happy to be back on your old ship," Adriana said smiling. "This is quite a vessel, from what I have seen of it."
"Wait a minute, you're out of Sickbay!" the ANUBIS' aCSciO exclaimed, sure that this had been a breach of security that would bring the infamous ILO down on them both.
"I have spoken to Doctor Summers," Adriana grinned softly, "and made my decision. I'll be staying onboard, that way I may actually get to find out what happened to my sister.
Aki took in a deep breath to calm herself then smiled at the former crewmate from the LANCELOT who had become a part of the ANUBIS' family. "Let me show you around," the aCSciO said as she took her friend by the arm and led her down the corridor. Mitshiba had not been certain as to where they would be going first, but she had been happy in the fact that she would not be alone with her thoughts and fears.
