"Mission Analysis"
[previous post was "VIPER 3" written by the anxious Jayson]

Setting: USS ANUBIS, Deck 1, Observation Lounge
Stardate: 30148.0710

It had been impossible for the ILO to not *see* the memories of the ship's CO. The seasoned officer had actually been looking forward to going down to the moon they were orbiting.

Everyone else, including the ILO, saw an inhospitable world filled with countless dangers and perils. Based on the partial memories Shar'El had seen from Captain Morningstar, the man saw something entirely different. The CO looked upon their mission as one without conflict, one without any real danger and one were the safety of the universe was not at stake.

A quick scan of the gathered officers made the ILO reconsider in some ways her earlier thoughts. Despite the hostile nature of the moon's environment many saw unique opportunities in this mission.  Maya likely still hoped for the chance to do some scientific research while on the surface. Wydarn 'the huge' would be happy just flying a VIPER. Jayson would likely use the mission to lose himself in the work while Sonja would do what Engineers did best; fix things as needed.

Shar'El's eyes stopped for a second on the CMO, wondering how the new aCMO and herself would handle the mission. Would they be too busy to even think or so bored that they would get on each other's nerves?

One thing far for sure though, Eve would likely use the mission to try and work things out with Seska.  The CNS had not stop looking at the aCMO during the short meeting.

Following the conclusion of the briefing, the first step before
anything else had been a simple one; to make it to the SPHINX within
the next 15 minutes.

That should not be all that difficult,  that is as long as the ILO did as the Captain had requested: for Shar'El to leave the turbolifts alone.
