Elliot was full of new adrenaline being at the point heading towards the distant hills, he was feeling a sense of achievement that he was able to impress the Captain, even though this time he was actually just following his instincts.

As they got closer to the hills, the Ensign and the red-headed woman distanced themselves a little so they could have a couple of options open to them an ambush, flee in different directions or hopefully just make contact with allies or a crew member.  ET had his blade unsheathed and was ready for action, his senses were all heightened, he could hear noises, looking in the direction of his Captain he could see that she had heard them too.  The 5' 6" woman raised her hand and made a gesture to crouch and advance slowly with care, Ensign Thomas noticed that she was able to crouch much lower than he could himself due to his height although he was still able to keep concealed in the undergrowth.

The noises were getting closer, when all of a sudden a small animal; perhaps a boar of types, ran by at high speed, and then to Elliot's shock he was shunted aside by a dark humanoid shape figure, it was moving that quick that he could not get a good look at who or what it was.  Captain Rikar came rushing over as ET was clambering back to his feet.  "What was it Ensign?" questioned the red-headed woman in an authoritative tone.

"I don't really know, Captain" Ensign Thomas commented and with a confused expression he continued, "I could not get a good look, it was like a shadow... well sort of."  They both looked in the direction that the unknown things had disappeared into, the shadow and animal had both gone, "will we give chase?" the anxious Ensign asked clutching his blade in anticipation.

"No" stated the female in a stern tone, she looked Elliot in the eye and continued "we have an objective to complete and this is only one thing that could distract us from it, lets continue on the course that we originally set, it is obvious that there are no crew members here."

Elliot and the attractive woman headed back onto the course they were originally on, although ET was a bit put out as he was no longer at point, all he could do was to walk in the footsteps of his Captain.
